* 1-3hr class where we will prepare 2-5 recipes. You’ll receive a handout with all the recipes, nutritional and preparation information, and a full belly. You’ll go home with a smile on your face and in your heart, knowing you have done something good for you, your family and friends!

We will be preparing and sampling 6 energizing, easy-to-make menu items to help you and your body meet the demands of our busy lifestyles. We will discuss specific ingredients as to their health benefits and learn tips for preparing food to protect its nutrition.

This menu allows for a light breakfast and at the end a light lunch with dessert.

All are gluten-free, live-raw, and dairy-free except one, but I will be giving a dairy-free option in the recipe.

Liquid Nutrition: Juicing, Smoothies and Soups

Maybe you have an elderly family member who has lost their desire for food and are needing some nutrient dense nourishment to get their health back. There are many ways to get your nutrition in, but liquid nutrition can be the simplest, most effective way to give your body the boost of nutrients it needs to get yourself back on your feet.

 

We'll be discussing the differences and benefits between a juice, smoothie, and soup, how to pack them with the best plant-based protein sources and superfoods to address specific health, fitness and weight management needs, how to slow down the naturally occurring sugars in fresh juices, when to use each to heal, common cooking pitfalls, best practices and the tools needed to get the job done most efficiently (which juicers/blenders work best for what).

We'll be sampling various fresh juices, smoothies, and homemade soups throughout the class like:

Detoxification Demystified: Cleanse, Drain and Detox


Come learn about the various ways to assist the body in healing itself thru cleansing, drainage, and detoxification. We'll be discussing what detoxification is and isn't, why it is important to health and healing, how to assess your toxicity and need for detoxification, the various types of detoxification tools available from diets to fasts to herbs to kits, the best approach and what to expect from various types of cleansing, drainage, and detoxification protocols.

Learn the advantages of a variety of sprouting methods, techniques and tools (jars, soil, blanket, bags, sprouters, natural mold inhibitors), to ensure healthy, mold-free sprouts and micro greens (and the cheapest way possible). I'll be sharing my tips and tricks from years of experimenting that will help you to grow, utilize and enjoy one of the healthiest and nutrient dense foods on earth! quickly, and easily You will take home a detailed handout of sprouting instructions, tips, tricks AND recipes for you to try on your own.
